Visit of Deputy Minister for Research and Technology at FORTH/ICE-HT
The Deputy Minister for Research and Technology, Mr. Christos Dimas, visited the Institute on August 26, 2019 and was hosted by the Institute Director, Dr. Vasilis Burganos and members of the Scientific Council. Dr. Burganos gave a presentation of the activities and achievements of the Institute and underlined its strategic links to the University of Patras, the Patras Science Park, and the local enterprises. He also stressed the role as a founding member of FORTH, which is an inter-regional Research Center with international recognition. Mr. Dimas discussed with the members of the Scientific Council various issues that should be addressed in the future regarding R&D funding and means for further support of the current scientific and technological ecosystem.
