Professor Pandis receives the Nikolai Albertovich Fuchs Award 2022


Professor Spyros Pandis, Collaborating Faculty Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH / ICE-HT), Coordinating Member of the Center for the Study of Air Quality and Climate Change (C-STACC) and Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras, received the Nikolai Albertovich Fuchs Memorial Award 2022 for his contributions to the understanding of the formation and behavior of atmospheric aerosol.

The Fuchs Memorial Award recognizes outstanding original research contributions to the field of aerosol science and technology. It is considered the highest honor for researchers in the field. It is presented every four years at the International Aerosol Conference and memorializes late Professor Nikolai Albertovich Fuchs, the great Russian scientist who is regarded by many as the “father of aerosol science”.
