On a well-known television station, Dr. Chr. Angelopoulos and Dr. Chr. Tsakiroglou presented (presentation is in Greek) an innovative technology developed at FORTH/ICE-HT concerning the design and the construction of a plasma device that produces ionized gas consisting of free electrons, ions and ultraviolet light, which oxidize even the most resistant pollutants found in the ground, achieving fast, effective and at the same time cheap soil decontamination. This technology qualified for the second phase of the 3^rd Applied Research and Innovation Competition “Greece Innovates!” co-organized by SEV and Eurobank.
