Visit of the Deputy Minister of Development Ms. Zoe Rapti to the premises of ICE-HT on October 11, 2024
The Deputy Minister of Development, Mrs. Zoe Rapti visited the premises of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICE-HT) on Friday, October 11, 2024, where she met with a delegation of the Institute consisting of the Director, Dr. Theophilos Ioannides, the President of the Scientific Council, Dr. George Voyiatzis, and members of it, Dr. Maria Daletou, Dr. Christos Angelopoulos and Prof. Spyros Giannopoulos, as well as the Deputy Director Dr. Vassilis Burganos, and was informed about the activities and future plans of the Institute, as well as about ICE-HT positions on the problems and challenges facing Research and Research Policy in Greece. During her visit to ICE-HT, the Deputy Minister stated that “The innovative solutions developed here put our country on the global map of innovation. That is why, with resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund, we are investing in the construction of a modern building on the campus of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas in Patras, 1500 square meters, with a budget of 4 million euros… ”
Earlier the same day, he visited, at the Patras Science Park, the Hellenic Centre for Additive Manufacturing (H-CAM), of which FORTH is a shareholder, and was briefed by Dr. Vassilios Dracopoulos, Vice President of the company and Application Scientist A’ of ICE-HT on the current activities of the company.
