On Saturday, November 20, 2021, Professor Emeritus Spyros Perlepes, a collaborating faculty member of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH / ICE-HT), was honored for his research and educational work, as well as for his contribution to the development of Inorganic Chemistry in Greece. The honorary session took place at the opening of the 1^st Panhellenic Symposium on Inorganic Chemistry, which was held at the Conference Center of the University of Patras from November 19 to 21, 2021. Professor Perlepes delivered a plenary lecture, entitled “Aspects of the Chemistry of Thorium(IV) and Uranium(VI): Our Recent Efforts”. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Vassilios Burganos, offered him a commemorative plaque.
