Achievement
Cold Plasma as a Multifunctional Technology

Achieved the complete degradation of various contaminants (dyes, antibiotics, etc.) from wastewaters with the corresponding energy yield being extremely high and equal to 1.5–2.0 g-pollutant/kWh. Regarding material modification, plasma treatment successfully introduced oxygen bearing groups giving rise to a facile, one-step, dry method to oxidize nanotubes that has the potential to produce batch quantities in a short treatment time with high energy efficiency being ~200 g-MWCNT/kWh.
