FORTH/ICE-HT at the 3rd position according to SIR World Report 2011 at national level
SCImago Research Group released SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) World Report 2011, the world broadest coverage ranking showing the research activity of 3042 universities and research-focused institutions worldwide. The report is based on quantitative data of citation and publication using Elsevier’s database Scopus and shows bibliometric indicators that unveil some of the main dimensions of research performance of worldwide research-devoted institutions.
SIR World Report 2011 includes a global table arranged by Normalized Impact, and shows international, regional and national ranks on this variable for every institution. According to this rank FORTH/ICE-HT is at the 915th position worldwide (out of 3042 organizations, that is, at 30% and, hence, above the world average) and at national level FORTH/ICE-HT is at the 3rd position (after IESL, which is at the 1st position, and FORTH, as a whole, which is at the 2nd position).
