Catalytic Processes: Production and purification of hydrogen for fuel cell applications; Environmental catalysis for VOC and CO abatement.
New materials: Carbon-based electrodes for electrochemical energy storage; Aerogel-like materials for thermal insulation; Absorbents for oil spills.
Membrane processes: Development of ionic-liquid based membranes for gas separation.
