- Electrochemical oxidation of potable water and agro-industrial wastewater
- Nutrients recovery from wastewater streams
- Potable water treatment: biological ammonia, iron and manganese removal, autotrophic hydrogenotrophic denitrification
- Wastewater treatment: biological Cr(VI) reduction, aerobic olive mill and dairy wastewater treatment
- Composting of agro-industrial residues
- Use of microalgae for pre-treated wastewater purification and biodiesel production
