| Abstract: | Recent years have been characterised by the publication of biomedical data from large human population cohorts. There is a recognised need to learn from large-scale data that can lead to a better understanding of disease biology and to the implementation of precision medicine. The challenge of collecting such data becomes particularly significant when it involves omics data at the molecular level, as consistency and strict standardisation of the process are required. This talk will describe a pathway of transition from small-scale proteomic studies of human samples to large-scale studies. It will also offer ideas about the future of proteomics in translational medicine. |
