FORTH/ICE-HT researchers participated in the FORTH team at the  25^th annual MIT Global Startup Workshop (MIT GSW) organized by MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Greece, under the auspices of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which took place on 30 and 31 March 2023, at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall.  More specifically, Dr. V. Dracopoulos, Application Director of FORTH/ICE-HT and Scientific Manager of  the Competence Center “Hellenic Center for Additive Manufacturing S.A. (H-CAM)” , to which ICE-HT participates presented the activities of the Center at the booth of PRAXI Network in the exposition site of FORTH, and discussed opportunities of collaboration with other participating company representatives and researchers (see additional information here). FORTH/ICE-HT was also represented by Dr. Maria Klapa, Head of the Metabolic Engineering & Systems Biology Laboratory, who is a founding member of MITEF and the contact point for FORTH participation at the Workshop.

This unique event offered participants the opportunity to learn from the best in innovation and develop their entrepreneurial spirit. With access to more than 15 panel discussions, prominent keynote speakers, and seminars, attendees gained the collective knowledge of MIT-affiliated experts, successful entrepreneurs and investors. 600+ attendees had the opportunity to meet in a hands-on experience and share insights on the most promising opportunities in technology. MIT GSW 2023 was under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministries of Development and Investment, Education and Religious Affairs, Labour and Social Affairs, Digital Governance, the Region of Attica and the Hellenic American Chamber. It is supported by the Martin Trust Business Center, the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship and the REAP Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program.
