The fifth workshop for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows in Chemical Engineering Sciences was held at the Conference Center of the Institute, on November 6, 2019. The workshop was co-organized by the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences and the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras, with the participation also of the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Biology. This year, more than 150 postgraduate and postdoctoral fellowships participated with more than 70 oral and poster papers. The keynote speaker of the event was the Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Prof. Vassilios Zaspalis.

The Director of the Institute, Dr. V. Burganos, gave an introduction to the event followed by the Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. D. Vagenas.  In the closing ceremony, the awards for the best oral and poster papers were announced, and were delivered to graduate students and postdoc collaborators.
