Event of MIT Enterprise Forum Greece at the premises of ICEHT 22 November, 2021
A hybrid event was organized to present the “MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2022”, by MIT Enterprise Forum Greece, Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences,of Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH/ICE-HT) in collaboration with the University of Patras, Patras Science Park, PRAXI Network and the Science and Technology Park of Crete on Nov. 22, 2021, at 12:30, at the Conference Auditorium of FORTH/ICE-HT.
The purpose of the presentation was to inform researchers and start-ups about the “MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2022”, which aims at the development of start-ups and business teams that innovate in the field of technology and science. The competition includes 4 thematic sections: “General”, “Energy”, “Transportation, Maritime & Logistics” and “Life Sciences”.
The event started with a welcome address by Dr. Maria Klapa, Principal Researcher AT FORTH/ICE-HT, Head of the Laboratory of Metabolic Engineering and Systemic Biology and member of MITEF, Mr. Gerasimos Spyridakis, President of MITEF Greece, Professor Panagiotis Dimopoulos Vice-Rector of Research and Technology of Univ. of Patras, Professor Vassilios Loukopoulos, President and CEO of Patras Science Park, Ms. Maria Makridaki, Head of Technology Transfer Office of FORTH-PRAXI Network and Dr. George Papamichael, Director of the Science and Technology Park of Crete. Then two presentations were given by Mr. Vassilis Papakonstantinou, Vice President of MITEF Greece, who informed the public about the 2022 competition and analyzed the most important parameters for financing a start-up and Mr. Vassilis Georgitzikis, CEO of Less Engineering and Finalist of the MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2020, who spoke about his experience and the importance of the competition in the development and promotion of his business.
The coordinator of the event was Ms. Antigoni Molodanov, Executive Director of MITEF Greece.
