  • Advanced characterization techniques: Nanomechanical mapping with AFM, Raman/AFM and photoluminesence microscopies, Near field Raman (TERS) and time-resolved Raman spectroscopies
  • Design of novel devices for mechanical testing of nanomaterials
  • Nanomechanics of 2D materials: Mechanical response and Nanotribology
  • Production of graphene and related two dimensional (2D) atomic thickness membranes (MoS2, WS2 etc.)
  • Large scale production of 2D materials (e.g. MoS2) with tailored optical properties (Laser patterning & drilling)
  • Graphene/ CNT based nanocomposites: production & interfacial characterization using Raman microscopy
  • Novel low friction composites based on 2D materials for cosmetic applications
  • Graphene-based flexible displays and transparent polymer electrodes: Production & nanomechanical characterization
  • Nanomechanics of biological systems (skin mechanics) using Peak Force Qualitative nanomechanical mapping AFM modeDesign and testing of novel remote fibre optic Raman microprobes
