Heterogeneous Catalysts: Synthesis and characterization of oxide and metal catalysts, aerogel catalysts.
Catalytic Processes: Production and purification of hydrogen for fuel cell applications. Environmental catalysis for VOC abatement.
New materials: Electrodes for Li-ion batteries.
Membrane processes: Development of inorganic membranes for hydrogen separation.

Participation in Research Projects:

1991-2010: Participation in more than 25 research projects funded by EU and national bodies.

Publications:

65 refereed journal papers. Citations: ~2500 (without self-citations). H-index = 29.
