In the context of the regular briefing of postgraduate and postdoctoral fellows, collaborating faculty members, Researchers and other employees and collaborators of FORTH /ICE-HT on health and safety issues, a seminar was organized on February 3, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the conference room of the Institute, entitled “Gases under pressure – Biological factors”. The presentation was given by Mr. Pavlos Klepetsanis, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Patras and Collaborating Faculty Member of FORTH/ICE-HT. Prof. Klepetsanis is a member of the Work Group “Safety and Health” of FORTH/ ICE-HT and a member of the Steering Committee of Health and Safety of the University of Patras.

Special attention was placed on the most significant risks in the laboratories, related to biological agents and gas cylinders under pressure. The required safety precautions were stressed by Prof. Klepetsanis, followed by actions that must be taken to deal with lab hazards and potential accidents.
