The visiting program of secondary education schools to the Institute facilities was implemented for a 16^{th<\/sup> consecutive year, within the “Open Doors” initiative of the Ministry of Education, Research and Technology. This year, 301 students from 6 schools of the Region of Western Greece visited ICE-HT.<\/p>\n}

The duration of each visit was approximately two hours and involved a presentation of the Institute activities followed by guided tours in various research laboratories. The students had the opportunity to be informed about the research that is carried out at the institute and several cutting-edge technologies in environmental issues, new materials, nanotechnology, renewable energy sources and biotechnology \/ biomedicine. They also attended short presentations on the operation and capabilities of modern scientific instruments.<\/p>\n
