The Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation, Prof. Costas Fotakis, together with Ministry staff, visited the Institute on February 6, 2018. The visit took place in the framework of the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0Regional Conference on Productive Reconstruction in Western Greece, which was organized in Patras, February 5-6, as an initiative of the Region of Western Greece and the Ministry of Economy and Development. During his speech at the conference on February 2, 2018, the Minister made explicit reference, among other things, to the international visibility and impact of the Institute.<\/p>\n

During his visit to the Institute, Prof. Fotakis visited the laboratories and discussed with the Institute personnel. Subsequently, the Director of the Institute, Dr. V. Burganos, presented the activities and achievements of ICE-HT, its particular role in the Region, and the strategic plan and vision of the Institute. The Minister announced the new programmes and funding opportunities that are planned by the Ministry as well as the individual actions and programmes that are organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
