On December 28, 2007, the Awards of the Academy of Athens were given during its annual formal session.<\/p>\n

Dr. Demosthenes Polyzos<\/b>, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, University of Patras and Collaborating Faculty Member of FORTH\/ICE-HT, as a member of a research group which included also Mr. G. Karlis<\/b>, graduate student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, University of Patras and Dr. D. Beskos<\/b>, Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Patras, was honored by the “P. Theocaris Award<\/em><\/strong>” of the Academy of Athens<\/strong><\/em> for the best publications in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in international journals, which are the following:<\/p>\n
