The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH\/ICE-HT) proudly served as a co-organizer of this major event (https:\/\/polyconf15.gr\/).<\/p>\n<p>The Conference, a premier biennial event held under the auspices of the Hellenic Polymer Society (HPS) and the European Polymer Federation (EPF), served as a meeting point for the international polymer science community.<\/p>\n<p>The presence of ICE-HT was notably strong and numerous, with more than 7 research groups from the Institute participating and presenting 16 research papers.<\/p>\n<p>The following distinctions, awarded during the Conference, were a particular honor for the Institute:<\/p>\n<h4>1. Recognition of Retired Professors:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The HPS honored retired Collaborating Faculty Members of the Institute, acknowledging their immense contribution to the progress and development of polymer technology. Among those honored were:<\/li>\n<li>Costas Galiotis (Former Director of FORTH\/ICE-HT).<\/li>\n<li>Professors Vassilios Kostopoulos, Ioannis Kallitsis, George Staikos, and Constantine Tsitsiliannis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2.
