Photon correlation spectroscopy, widely known as dynamic light scattering, is a technique based on the interaction of laser light with the local density and concentration fluctuations in a medium. Fluctuations in the electric field of the scattered photons are directly translated into intensity fluctuations, which are finally associated with fluctuation of the local atomic configuration, e.g. translational and or reorientational motions of the molecules. Photon correlation spectroscopy probes directly the relaxation process in bulk amorphous media that presents strong temperature dependence.
